I’M I-CHIN
"An aristocratic presence with a warm and velvety voice"
INTRODUCTION
A Taiwan born American, I-Chin started her musical training at the age of 5. She plays several instruments including piano, violin, and organ.
When she was only 17, I-Chin decided to study abroad and moved to California. At age 23, she enrolled at California State University of Fullerton and started her vocal career. I-Chin found her teacher Monika Bruckner in 2002 and has been training with Ms. Bruckner ever since.
I-Chin is known for the velvety warmth of her mezzo voice. She has performed with the Pacific Symphony on numerous occasions. Her performance credits include the 2006 west coast premier of The Passion of Ramakrishna by Philip Glass (2006, Renée Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall, Costa Mesa) and the 2018 east coast premier at Carnegie Hall in New York.
